Plan your visit to the Proms

The 2022 Proms season will run from 9 September to 24 September. Tickets will be available from an online booking agency or on the door (card reader for non-cash payments). Prices for the 2022 season have yet to be decided, but tickets for 2021 were typically £15, or £12 for concessions, with a season ticket for all events priced at £70/concessions £55.

Getting to St James’

Underground: Angel Tube (Northern Line City branch) and a 10-minute walk, or a bus from the station
Overground: Great Northern to Essex Road Station and a five-minute walk
Bus: 38, 56, 73, 341, 476 to Cross Street on Essex Road, then a three-minute walk
Bus: 271 to Baring Street on New North Road, then a four-minute walk
Car: There is free street parking around St James’ in the evening and weekends

Covid precautions

In 2021 audiences were encouraged to wear face coverings in the church, and to avoid mingling with other households, and also asked to sign a register and provide a contact telephone number.


St James’ has step-free access and accessible toilets.


Wine and soft drinks are available at all evening events. As St James’ is not licensed, we cannot charge for alcohol, but you can make a donation either in cash or by using your smartphone to read a QR code.
